Buck Cochran is the Chief Executive Officer of Peacehaven Community Farm in Whitsett, NC. Peacehaven is an affordable housing community for adults with disabilities set on a community supported farm. Started in 2007, Peacehaven was awarded Nonprofit of the Year in 2014 by the Guilford County Nonprofit Consortium and Buck was awarded the Game Changer award by the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro in 2017. Buck is an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and served as an Associate Pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Greensboro, NC prior to starting Peacehaven. Before entering the ministry, Buck served in the United States Navy. His family includes his wife Cathy, who is the Director of Clinical Information Systems at Cone Health, daughter Cameron who works for a charitable foundation, and son Trey who works the FoodCorps in Arkansas. Buck graduated from Wake Forest University with a BS in chemistry and from the Divinity School at Duke University with a Master in Divinity.
