Dan Curry is an accomplished community planner and project manager with advanced skills in housing and community development program implementation. As a proven leader and public-sector administrator, Dan has been responsible for development activities resulting in more than $200 million of urban reinvestment and job creation in low-wealth communities.
As the City of Greensboro’s first Community Sustainability Manager he led the City’s effort to land a US Dept. of Energy Better Buildings Grant providing $5 million for the leveraging of over $20 million of energy efficiency improvements to public and private buildings.
In addition to his public-sector experience, Dan has provided strategic direction and leadership in the non-profit sector in both Executive Director and Board Chairmanship positions. His core competencies are numerous, including community and neighborhood planning, project management, budget and fiscal management, contract administration, urban design, affordable housing development, urban sustainability, community engagement and grantsmanship.
Dan has a Landscape Architecture degree from North Carolina State University and resides in Greensboro, NC where he is principal of Dan Curry Consulting, providing urban planning and community engagement services to public and private sector clients.
